Hi, there! I’m Allison, an SLPA and resource author. For more than 10 years, I’ve been creating therapy resources and sharing ideas online for speech therapists and special education educators who want materials that hold up in real sessions and classrooms.
I started this work as a side project while practicing in K-12 schools and in private practice. Over time, it turned into an education platform and community built around the kinds of resources I wished I’d had: low-prep, functional, and worth the prep time you put in.
My clinical interests sit at the intersection of early language development, language disorders, and cleft speech. You’ll see those threads running through most of what I make and through the blog, where I write about therapy planning, evidence-based ideas, and the practical realities of working in this field.
I’m also a cleft mom. My daughter was born with a cleft palate, and walking that path as both a parent and a clinician has shaped how I think about communication differences, family-centered care, and the gaps in cleft-related training for many of us in the field. I’ve been volunteering with the non-profit organization, Smile Train, since 2021 and regularly write about cleft speech and hearing differences for the broader SLP community.
I love creating functional resources, providing inspiration and ideas for your caseload, and helping you streamline therapy planning.
My journey in creating resources began when I realized most of the materials I was using weren’t targeted to teach my pre-verbal, low-attention students effectively. I realized I needed to adjust my teaching to each child’s learning style, and that the best learning happened when it didn’t feel like work!
My speech therapy resources are interactive and engaging. They are easily adaptable to target a variety of goals and can be used with many different students. Whether you are an SLP, SLPA, special education teacher, ESL teacher, behavioral therapist, or parent, I hope you find my resources helpful! I especially love creating no-prep and no-print resources.
I also began creating clipart to use in my resources and started selling it to other teachers for use in their educational materials! The images I create are functional and versatile. They are appropriate for both older and younger students and are intentionally designed to be useful for teaching language concepts and life skills.
