Description
Apraxia of speech activities! Engaging, no prep play dough mats. You can use any manipulative – bingo chips, paint daubers, or even color with crayons.
The resource has 3 themes (water balloons, snowballs, and gold coins) grouped by syllable pattern. Each page has 5 targets on it.
INCLUDES (color and black & white)
29 play dough mats, targeting these sound patterns:
- VC – 3 pages
- CV – 3 pages
- CVCV – 3 pages
- CV1CV2 – 3 pages
- C1V1C2V2 – 3 pages
- CVC – 3 pages
- C1VC2 – 8 pages
- blank mats for customization – 3
Includes color and black & white options. Use the black & white pages as an ink-saving option, to send home, or use to motivate through coloring/stamping.
Directions
Print and laminate the pages or place them in sheet protectors. I like placing pages back-to-back and then laminating to make them even sturdier – and save on laminating sheets!
Make a play dough ball for each picture. Say the word, then pop the water balloon, smash the snowball, or hide the gold coin with the play dough ball!
Note: This resource is the same content from the Articulation Play Dough Mats, but organized by syllable pattern and not articulation sounds.

I love this resource. I find that I often use this with my phono/artic kiddos when they are just starting out with a target sound. I’ve laminated them so they can be used over and over with playdough or tokens.
