INTERACTIVE BOOK
The interactive book contains three scenes (a waiting room, an exam room, and an outside scene). You can flip through the rooms and move the children or objects onto the pages.
Waiting Room: The boy playing with blocks and reading are meant to go in the waiting room. Discuss why and how we wait.
Exam Room: Discuss who doctors are and what they do. Teach medical tools vocabulary and what they are used for (stethoscope, thermometer, blood pressure cuff, medical light, band-aid). In addition, discuss the patient’s expectations (hold still, follow directions).
Outside Scene: The boy running, eating an apple, and children licking lollipops are meant for this scene. Discuss good and poor health practices.
