Social emotional learning is a key part of child development. These critical skills allow a child to express their emotions appropriately, demonstrate self-control, empathy, kindness, perspective taking, cooperation, flexibility, and more.
Books are a great way to work on these essential social and emotional skills! Use books to discuss character development, how they responded in different situations, what they could have done differently – even use them to roleplay!
